I love music. I love language. How it’s conceptualized. How it’s utilized.
Words can also be used deceptively. To persuade. To alter. To hurt.
In this culture, we are surrounded by minor deceptions daily (and large one’s) that have wrought confusion and inauthenticity into the ether. Into our lives. Our minds. Our actions. Money is King. And now it is Queen too. Status is inaccurately tied to wealth accumulation and power.
Many of us begin to feel superior to others as we generate more earnings and perceived prowess. Imagine how it would change you to become a billionaire? I’m not yet convinced we are capable of managing that level of accumulation and perceived social status.
I love writing. Fiction. Non-fiction. Comedy. I love lyrics and using one’s voice to express ideas, concepts. I’m not always patient with the process. I prefer to write lyrics and sing rather than stick with an instrument to the point of public proficiency. Perhaps a lack of focus, a fear of being loved, or possibly many other reasons get in the way. And sometimes private is better. Right. In certain moments.
Music and writing are my creative space. Taking one’s self seriously as an artist can be a process. Some adapt quickly, other’s in a different way. Other’s never at all. And that’s okay too. Only in our hearts and minds do we know the areas in which we need to pull the lever’s in our life in a different way to express a different result.
Stress can drain ideas, and dreams. Sometimes it’s meant to. It can be natural and necessary.
But we must always begin again, or continue.
It has been mentioned a few times in passing previously that some of my work, my music, my comedy, is dark.
While it may come across that way to some, it is not intended to be dark. It is geared toward humour, or thoughtfulness, or healing. Or just expression in response to a particular piece coming through in a particular way.
Sometimes I prefer to just make music on my own, in private, for the love of it and not the spectacle of it. And sometimes I would much rather someone who loves playing an instrument to take my initial concept to the next stage of production and creative expression.
A collaboration of sorts.
As an aside, if you hear or read something here that you find interesting or compelling or funny, and would like to contribute or develop a concept because you have ideas of your own, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s talk.
In this culture, we must focus on hope, and beauty and strength. We must live that way. We must love. We must breathe the natural forest air. We must move our bodies. And we must cultivate a habit of daily gratitude, even if we don’t feel it sometimes.

Gratitude is also a prayer for the hope of tomorrow. It is good to meditate and find quiet time alone to fully encounter our thoughts and feelings. This can be uncomfortable. If we don’t take time for ourselves, to learn how to love ourselves, we may start to over-indulge. Get lost in the culture.
Food. Sex. Drugs. Work Addiction. Avoidance. Hiding. Numbness. Envy. Lack of loving and taking care of our bodies. Living through other people. Focusing too much on other people because it provides a desperate distraction from the fear or pain or whatever we feel in regards to following a dream or completing our own stuff. The fear of discovering we are not perfect. Or worse, no good at all.
In my life working with individuals and groups of all ages in a variety of capacities (arts, mental and emotional health settings, social, music, media, cultural and clinical observations), I have discovered that I love people. Their stories. Their motivations. Their pain. Their hope. Their beauty. Their growth. Their creativity. Their expression.
Aside #2.
There will be some parody or satire concepts presented from time to time as part of our TLL News Media News Corp. concept.
A reflection of things in the world that I find amusing or compelling in some way. These artistic expressions are not meant to harm, but to shine a light on ideas:
I find purely funny for some reason
that don’t make sense to me
that I perceive to be too deceptive, or harmful to people.
The focus of FG Music and Media is split between client work, and original content creation. I encourage you to engage with what makes sense and feels right to you.
Leave what doesn’t resonate.

Sometimes discovering that you have to just be you and live with it, possibly like it, hopefully love it, is an uncomfortable thing. We fight it. Or we adapt a persona because we are afraid to be courageous. We struggle to provide less status quo, more interesting.
How much of our pain is perception, and how much of it is real! Is there a difference…
Sometimes we need to be held back (self-imposed) until we’re more mature.
Sometimes we need to fly.
Only Love,
FG
